About Apostle Elizabeth Hairston McBurrows

Apostle Dr. Elizabeth Amelia Hairston gave up a career in show business to become an Ambassador for Jesus Christ. God has anointed her rich talents and now uses them for His honor and glory. In Columbus, Ohio she directed and founded The Liturgical Expressions, Inc. This body of Holy Spirit-filled believers brought forth God’s Word through movement. Her circle of influence in dance and music includes world renowned Alvin Ailey and Marian Anderson.

 

She is a graduate of Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi where she received a Bachelors of Art Degree in English Literature, with a minor in Speech and Drama. Both a Master of Arts, and a Master of Fine Arts in Christian Education and Drama from The Methodist Theological School in Delaware Ohio. In addition, Apostle Hairston earned a Doctorate of Biblical Studies Degree from International Seminary, Plymouth, Florida. Elizabeth Hairston obtained from Friends International University a Doctorate of Divinity Degree and a Ph. D. from Friends International University in Merced, California. She is also an Adjunct Professor and Faculty member of Friends International. On August 22, 1987, Dr. Hairston was ordained for the Gospel Ministry, by the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa of Benin Nigeria, West Africa. Dr. Hairston was the first woman ordained in the office of Apostle under Christian International Network by Apostolic-Bishop Dr. Bill Hamon, in November of 1997.​

Dr. Hairston ministers apostolically and prophetically in music, dance and drama; and teaches a relevant, revelatory, simplicity, yet uncompromising Word of God.

She is in constant demand to minister throughout the United States, Central America, Carribean Islands, West Africa, East Africa, India, South America, and Europe. She ministers especially but not exclusively in the areas of intercession, women’s issues, praise and worship, ministerial ethics and leadership training.

​Formerly, she was an instructor of English and Religion at McCurdy Schools inNorthern New Mexico. Currently, Dr. Hairston is actively involved in ministry with several Native American Nations, specifically in the Four Corners Area. As an author, she has penned Go Forth in Dance, Housecleaning in Bethel, Gates of Freedom and Apostolic Intervention.

​In the summer of 2004, Apostle Hairston received a Letter of Recognition as a Global Leader by the President of the United States, Mr. George W. Bush. She has given the Word of the Lord to presidents, prime ministers, and kings in various foreign countries. She was appointed Ambassador to the Ivory Coast by the Autorités Consulaires de la Côte d’Ivoire an affiliate of the president and government of the Ivory Coast, West Africa in September 2007.

Presently she serves as Founding President of The Apostolic-Prophetic Connection, Inc (a ministry that bridges the gap between the five-fold and the arts), and is International President and Founder of Women With a Call International, Inc. with branches in the United States, South America, Caribbean Islands, Holland, West Africa, East Africa, Philippines, and India. In addition, Apostle Hairston is Founder of Rose of Sharon School of Liturgical Dance and the Rose of Sharon School of Prophets. She is a member of Christian International Apostolic Network and the International Coalition of Apostles. In the Marketplace, Dr. Hairston is a professional model and actress.

 

She currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her loving husband, Elder Carlton McBurrows.
